We are an electronic retailer of jewelry and lifestyle products headquartered in Austin, Texas with a team of approximately 450 people. Our products are sold through TV (Cable, satellite, Telco’s and OTA’s), our website, OTT, marketplaces, and social media.

Our service to the community is run through our Your Purchase Feeds… program under which each retailing unit donates one nutritious meal to a school-going child in India, the US, the UK, and the Germany for each item sold through all its platforms. Your Purchase Feeds… has current run rate of over 54,000 meals per school day and has provided over 50 million meals to kids in need in US, UK and India until now. Merchandising Assistant (Jewelry):

As Shop LC’s Merchandising Assistant for the jewelry merchandising team, you will be responsible for coordinating and assisting the jewelry merchandising team in all aspects of procurement when it comes to invoices, sourcing, buying, vendor relations, product shipments, data tracking, entry, etc.

The Merchandising Assistant will report directly to the Director of Merchandising.

The following are the primary job responsibilities for the role:

Assist with inventory control by tracking samples and updating inventory records.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of pre orders and replenishment of jewelry items.
Generate reports on sales performance, inventory turnover, and other key metrics.
Conduct research on current jewelry trends, customer preferences, and competitive analysis.
Provide insights and recommendations to the merchandising team based on market findings.
Support the team in creating item codes.
Manage purchase orders and resolve any issues related to shipments or product discrepancies.
Assist with organizing and maintaining merchandising materials and product samples.
Work closely with the merchandising team, sales associates, and marketing departments to ensure cohesive strategies and communication.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions for new merchandising ideas.

In order to perform this role, we are looking for someone with:

Ability to effectively utilize various software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (knowledge of pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
Experience in retail environment. Desire to learn about sales-driven industry and be able to work independently.
Knowledge of international sourcing, with an emphasis on China, India, Africa, and South America.
Ability to read and interpret invoices.
Attention to detail, Excellent analytical, professional and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps.
Moving around to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
Remaining in a stationary position, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
Frequently lift 20-50lbs and occasionally lift 50 to 70 pounds.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
